Pass the Hungarian Driving Theory Test in English

The KAV Category B Theory Exam (KRESZ) Explained: 400 Practice Questions with Explanations, 5 Full Mock Tests of 55 Questions, and the Route from Driving School to a Hungarian Licence

Ebook. Also on other Apple Books and Google Play Books stores.

Living in Hungary and facing the KRESZ theory exam? This guide takes you from the driving school to the licence: the steps in order, the deadlines that catch people out, the exam format, how to take the exam in English, and the road rules at the level the exam asks for.

The real exam has 55 questions and 55 minutes, and you need 65 points out of 75. The five mock tests in this book have 55 questions each, one point per question, and a target of 48 correct answers, so you practise at the size of the real exam. The practice questions use three options, A to C, with one correct answer.

What is inside:

  • 12 short chapters you can read on a phone: your route to a Hungarian licence; the exam format, language and method; foreign licences, documents and penalty points; police signals and traffic lights; road signs and markings; right of way, junctions and emergency vehicles; speed, following distance and lanes; overtaking, motorways and expressways; trams, level crossings, pedestrians and cyclists; stopping, parking, lights and loads; alcohol, phones, seat belts, accidents and fines; the theory of driving and your car
  • 3 appendices: numbers to remember, Hungarian terms you will meet, and a seven-day revision plan
  • 125 original practice questions in the order of the chapters, every one with the correct answer and a short explanation
  • 5 full mock tests of 55 questions, each with answers and explanations

Rules are current at the time of writing. Where a point could not be confirmed, the book says so and tells you to check with your driving school or the examination authority.

All questions are original. This is an independent study guide: it is not produced, endorsed or approved by any authority, examination body or driving school, and it does not contain real exam questions. It does not replace your driving school course or the official texts.

Part of the Pass the Test series.

Method of creation: this book was written with the help of artificial intelligence tools, under the author's direction; every rule was written from its source text and reviewed and every practice question was written for this book.
